Hello, Scott.

One of our engineers believes that your BED file may be too large. We have
seen problems similar to what you're describing when users attempt to upload
extremely large files. You mentioned that you are not having any problems
with other similar tracks. Is there a significant size difference between
this track and those tracks? If your track is too large, it would be better
to use the bigBed format instead. If you're not familiar with the bigBed
format, please see the following page:
http://genome.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/help/bigBed.html.

Please contact us again at [email protected] if you have any further
questions.

Subject: [Genome] Custom track uploading error

Hello,

I am trying to upload a custom .bed file that is .gz compressed and I
consistently get the same error. It is:

Warning/Error(s):
Can't start query:
select genome from dbDb where name = 'hg18'
mySQL error 2013: Lost connection to MySQL server during query I have 23
other tracks that are very similar, and none of them give this error when I
attempt to upload them. I was wondering if this error gives a hint as to
what is wrong with my file. Thanks for any guidance you can give me.

Best regards,
Scott
