I have set MACHTYPE to both i386 and i686. I have added the $MACHTYPE directories to both ~/bin/ , ~/lib/ as well as /usr/local/bin , /usr/local/lib. I have added these to the path as well.
This is the error I get make[1]: *** No rule to make target `../lib//jkweb.a', needed by `blat'.
