Is video4linux (v4l) supposed to work with Linux/AMD64? I have a bt878-based card in my machine. The dmesg log reports that the card is being initialized and even has a device assigned to it. Does anyone know if v4l programs are supposed to work on Linux/AMD64? I know of at least xawtv for viewing video from the card, but that is masked according to emerge. When I use the xine program ('xine v4l://'), I just get green frames with a little fuzz at the top.
