It works for me. I'm using xawtv to view the output of my Phillips
webcam using v4l. I've also got a bt878 based card, but I've never used
it on amd64 - drivers seem to load ok though.
I'm using media-tv/xawtv-3.94-r1, just 'ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~amd64" emerge
