Not that it matters to me what video you choose to use, but I do find it

Unfortunately, there are no video card companies (AFAIK) that actually support
the free software community.
I want the best possible support for my OS so my money goes to the companies
that work hard to give me that support.
You are equating "open source community" with "Linux community". The two are
not the same. The reason I use a Linux-based OS is because it is free
software. If it were not, I would be using something running a BSD kernel.
Im not much of a gamer, but I still bought UT2003, 04, and Doom3 so these
companies would see that we WILL buy games if they are produced.
Those games are licensed immorally. It is irrelevant that they run on OS that
are licensed morally. If they want me to buy their games, they can sell them
with a moral license.
Well, to each his own I guess... IMHO though, this type of attitude will
continue to hold Linux back from getting major vendor support which is
necessary if we want to be able to consistently run the latest and
greatist in both cutting edge hardware and software. Some people
probably don't care either way, but there are many of us that do.
