The "Which is better?" question is for the AMD64/GNU/Linux community,
so, yeah, take it to them and see if they are interested.  The
question for Gentoo is "Which trouble do you want, the name of the lib
directory trouble or the flouting the standard trouble?"  Which
trouble is more likely to scare off "customers" considering Gentoo?
If we are going to discuss it here rather than out there with the rest
of the AMD64/GNU/Linux community, we should look at it as a "business"
decision for Gentoo.
