Hi all.I've been on the list for some time but this is my first post. I just finished building my new system in preparation for doing my first Gentoo install. When I put the CD in it starts to do the install, I guess, but stops very quickly with the following message:
The boot block device is unspecified or not detected. Is it possible that Gentoo won't install to an SATA hard drive? Or is it more likely that I've missed something in the BIOS settings? OR ??? I have the Raptor drive set as my second boot device with the Plextor as the first boot device.
Thanks for any insight you may offer. I really want to get my new system up and running Gentoo !
