I have a similar problem with the current nvidia-kernel (1.0.7664), morph-sources-2.6.11-r10 and an NVidia Geforce 4000MX. X locks up at random, I thought it might be specific apps, but it appears to be completely at random. If I ssh in from an other computer and kill the X process i can recover from it. My GeForce FX5700 works fine tho.
I couldn't switch back to the older 6629 driver because they wont build with morph-sources. -- theboywho [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Tuesday 28 June 2005 08:01, Joel Wiramu Pauling wrote: > Hi all, > > I have been experiencing system lock up with the current > gentoo-sources-r1 kernel (and also the previous release) and the current > nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx packs. > > Xscreensaver especially triggers it ( setting xscreen to blank prolongs > system uptime).
