While the 5200/5500 may be the least cost, I've been running a 6200/128MB in one system and it's been fine with the 8178 drivers @ 1600x1024. But that's about the top end for it. My main system runs a 6600/256MB @ 1920x1200, and has been fine with no problems (needed a modeline for that resolution). It's been very stable, and works for text, HDTV, and 3D games.
