I don't play a lot of games, but my eVGA geForce 6800 runs well, aside from 
the noisy fan I replaced. With the binary drivers installed it Just 
Worked(tm) even when I replaced my old 1280x1024 max CRT with a 1600x1200 
DFP.

Under Windows, I can play Doom 3 at 1600x1200 on high settings at about 20fps 
(I 'borrowed' Doom 3 from a friend, so I don't have the Linux client)
