It would be vanilla-sources-2.6.15-r1 with a LOCAL_VERSION of 27Jan06
unless he manually edited the Makefiles.
You should use gentoo-sources instead of vanilla, it contains a lot of
needed patches for amd64(as well as the kernel in general)
