You should be able to, yes.  I'd check first to see if any package still 
owns them, just to be sure:

equery belongs lib32

If that returns anything, either unmerge or remerge (again?) the returned 
package under the new profile, and it /should/ no longer own it.  Once 
nothing owns it, it should be safe to delete without issue.
