more problems than that:
oddman ~ # cooledit
cooledit: display :0.0 cannot load font
        -*-fixed-bold-r-*--13-120-*-*-*-80-*
as a font set - trying raw load.
cooledit: display :0.0 cannot load font
        -*-fixed-bold-r-*--13-120-*-*-*-80-*

And crashed.

And did not get picked up in gnome apps office
