I have a small problem with Nautilus (nautilus-2.16.3) when double
clicking on a Microsoft Word Document (*.doc) does /not/ open with
Open Office (openoffice-bin-2.2.1). The problem is only with *.doc
files, *.xls and *.ppt work just fine. A quick google search does not
turn up anything, but I choose to read the Gnome Desktop System Admin
Guide (http://www.gnome.org/learn/admin-guide/2.14/). I try the tool
'gnomevfs-info' and have

** SNIP **
mchaffin% gnomevfs-info ./Michael\ Chaffin\ goals\ \(2004\).doc

The 'Default App' is 'xoowritter.desktop', I un-installed that a long time ago.

Ok so I re-read 'Registering Application for MIME Types'
and I try the tool 'desktop-file-install' with the copy of
'openoffice.org-2.2-writer.desktop'

** SNIP **
mchaffin% desktop-file-install \
? /usr/lib/openoffice/share/xdg/openoffice.org-2.2-writer.desktop
Must specify the vendor namespace for these files with --vendor
** SNIP **

What is my 'vendor'? I am not even sure 'desktop-file-install' is the
correct tool. Suggestions please.

Thank you.
