I just realized that. I think it was from when I was going to try out kdrive. I downloaded the ebuilds and extracted them to my overlay, and then completely forgot that they existed ;) Why was -r4 masked if it wasn't even in the tree, anyway?
Seemant was working on it, and he needed revision control but didn't want anyone else using it accidentally. Later it was removed from the tree again as some more work happened.
I've noticed that the xfree-4.3.0-r4 ebuild appeared in the tree this afternoon. Unforunately, now the requirement in ati-gatos is >=x11-base/xfree-4.3.0-r5. Did the patches to make ati-gatos compile not go into -r4? Also, the warning about having the 'gatos' and 'sdk' USE flags is still there, even though the -r4 ebuild no longer supports the gatos USE flag.
