Sure.  In fact, it is called 2004.3 and it is already available!  *grin*

Honestly, we have no intentions on maintaining the "legacy" 2.4 stuff.
It will still be available as a choice, but we aren't spending our
resources on it.  As it stands, we already are overworked in most areas,
so adding a 2.4 set would be near impossible.  The more time we spend on
legacy builds, the less time we have to work on new things, like the new
LiveCD which will be X-enabled.
