| The same would be the case for amd64.  To get amd64 sse code, it should

There are currently only two ebuilds that support sse on amd64, and
those package (and all to come) will do this:

"use amd64 && myconf="${myconf} --enable-sse",

as was finally decided by AMD64 Team.
