I just wanted to add here - I am a very new Gentoo user who just finished their first install with a desktop profile, and I very much appreciated the defaults (including those related to PipeWire) that allowed me to get a desktop environment with fully working audio for all my use cases up and running very quickly.
I am very appreciative of the work of everyone involved that allowed me to have a fantastic first impression of the Gentoo ecosystem; it was clear to me that a lot of careful thought goes into the decisions around defaults and that is no doubt due to the culture of evidence-based discussion and attention to ease of use for the average user. Your total lack of interest in engaging in technical discussion has been noted and received disfavorably. You are wasting everyone's time, including your own. Others have tried explaining the facts to you.
