It shouldn't exist... The *correct* fix is to do it in a package manager aware way, for example by using slot operator dependencies that were supposed to be in EAPI 4. Horribly convoluted hacks and huge eclasses that exist primarily to bypass or reimplement things from the package manager cause more pain than they're worth.
