Btw, since Gentoo do not (mostly) provide packages itself, but only build instructions (ebuild), can't we just ship ebuild that "patches" openldap violates to force to use db6> with "bindist" USE?
I.e. make user decide to take responsibility for that local license incompatibility. We're all know, that it is pretty acceptable to locally do the things, that OSS licenses incompatibility forbids (if you do not have plans to redistribute that binary).
