Hello, I have a Pentium 4 (x86 system) and I want to compile some code for i586, AMD Elan5200 and other x86 arch boards, using gcc 3.3.6. on this system. I'm also looking for any guides to using Eclipse to develop embedded code for X86 arch boards. One of the simple questions is how do you compile with gcc 3.3.6 when it is installed, but 4.1.2 is set as the default? Either inside of Eclipse or at the CLI.
Is there a guide or some examples, as the gentoo host has 4.1.2 installed? I've got several folks I'm trying to teach; and well having them read/follow a guide would be best.
