Hello Heath, OK this looks like what I'm looking for. Questions: This example is for the i586, as we have several of those to work with. Is there an index or list of the various x86 processor types and the arch choices that should be used? Or is everything i586 for embedded gentoo. for example AMD K6 i586 elon SC520 i486 intel p# i686 Geode i586 ...... One side note: I recently picked up a book that you might find interesting; From the Bruce Peren's Open Source Series: "An Introduction to Design Patterns in C++ with QT4". It's all about GUI building with C++ and QT4. The book has an emphasis on open-source code reuse. Note: It'll be the weekend before I have time to use your document.
