As I am sure you are aware, there is quite a lot of changes between "minor" kernel series; in this case 2.6.24 -> 2.6.25. > > Is anybody experienced similar troubles with 2.6.25-hardened-r4? I haven't, nor has anyone reported any such issues (via IRC, e-mail, ML or bugzilla) with any 2.6.25 release. > Is anybody aware about any stability fixes between 2.6.25-hardened-r4 and > 2.6.25-hardened-r7 which may be related to this issue? There are many fixes between 2.6.25-r4 and 2.6.25-r7. However, without knowing the specifics of your hardware and lockup issues it is impossible to guess if any of the fixes would relate to your specific setup/scenario. > > > P.S. If you have not developed a hardware issue and 2.6.25-r7 displays the same issue, I'd suggest filing a bug with all the relevant info available. Please provide a minimum of emerge --info, lspci output, and your kernel config. Good luck. Gordon Malm
