im running a server from home but it was all me guessing how it was
done! if someone does do this, ill give a hand!!! quick tips though:
webmin. very handy. i used it on a remote server (remote being one
beside me but no monitor!) and also SSH. i had all my log files shared
over nfs, only to my workstation. this helped in checking logs. if this
is running as a mail server, make sure its secure. i had it up for about
12 hours unsecure and bang! half million emails was being sent from my
machine to others! Final tip, know your machine. if its a hardware
problem, have some sort of backup. i have a remote backup server. BTW,
im running some large sites on my server so its very important for me to
have backups. Backup MX is handy too. Hmmm. any questions?
