Hello, people.

Yesterday night, I was using linux, all was fine. I did a emerge sync
and a emerge -up world, and it said it would be upgrading a few
packages, including gcc among others.
I also did an emerge glibc, to recompile it from scratch. All went well,
no problems at all. Today, I shutdown the machine, and later when I
tried to boot, it wouldn't.
Just when it starts init, it spits lots of messages about not being able
to write to some files (read-only fs), and lots of them about grsec
sending signal 11 to some applications.
I compiled grsec in the kernel at low level.
So, the booting process hangs at some point, ps being killed various
times (sig11 as well), because /proc wouldn't be mounted.
I tried to boot from cd, and mount my root fs from the cd. It goes well,
but stops at some point. If I remount rw, some things will start, but
not very well.
Booting from the hard drive, passing 'init=/bin/sh' works, but I can't
run much.
Anyone has sme hints as to how I could start to fix this? I'm kinda old
on linux, but I'm fairly new to gentoo.
When booting frm cd, I tried to reiserfsck the disc, but there were no
errors, so this isn't a filesystem issue.

Any hints will be appreciated.
