This is where I do pretty much everything important in a 'screen' session.
That way, when I log in from a different terminal or ssh session, I can just
grab the session and pick up where I left off. It also has the advantage of
giving my console sessions the ability to survive transient network
outages. I really don't know how I survived before screen...
