Hello,

I had sound working with alsa-driver-0.9.0_rc6 and upgraded to
alsa-driver-0.9.0_rc7 using accept_keywords. On reboot, I got a bunch of
messages about module mismatches but it all went by too quickly and wasn't
found in dmesg.

(1) How do change configuration to suit alsa-driver-0.9.0_rc7?
(2) How do I view the full and unaltered boot time log?

The reason I upgraded to alsa-driver-0.9.0_rc7 from alsa-driver-0.9.0_rc6 is
because I was encountering a very strange problem:-

I have an altec lansing ada995 5.1 surround thx system with turtle beach
santa cruz card and although sound works fine with alsa-driver-0.9.0_rc6 I
get absolutely no bass. So I opened kmix, split the volume channels into
two and found that when the two left and right channels are of different
values I get bass on whichever side is raised higher but if I put them to
the same or similar level then I get no bass at all. Does this mean that
the alsa driver for my card does not support 5.1?

(3) How do I get bass in linux?

Many thanks.
Dhruba Bandopadhyay.
