Not sure if it's the same problem, but after I compiled what was needed into the kernel, setup and x and ran it, the mouse was irratic (i was using /dev/usbmouse). It's a cordless Logitech MouseMan, so I used the MouseMan protocol, and that seamed to be casuing the problem.
