You *could* try checking the list to see if it appeared there. The fact that somebody did reply to your earlier posting would very probably indicate that your message was visible. This time I'll CC you on my reply, lest you're not following the list. Generally I reply to the list itself so that others reading the list or searching the archives find the answer as well, and it's presumed that the original questioner is seeing list postings and doesn't want to see them twice. > Does anybody have an experience/thoughts about the Intermezzo file system, > especially with regards to stablity? It doesn't work very well; it's still pre-alpha quality. Try doing an "emerge unison" to get something that does a better job. Intermezzo has kernel hooks that should immediately catch any changes and replicate them to the other system, while unison has to be run periodically and does everything in userspace. Unison tends to actually work, while Intermezzo tends to fall over on its face after awhile. I'm still tracking Intermezzo development; it should be a wonderful thing when and if it ever gets stabilized. Intermezzo is very Linux-specific, while Unison works on just about any flavour of Unix and even has a Windows flavour. -- Anthony de Boer -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
