Strangely enough I would have had the short answer as "yes, if they have nothing in common... at ALL :)" I've had near 0 problems emerging say, nmap while waiting for kde to finish up compiling. But as with everything, YMMV. I could have had problems that I never noticed :)
I have successfully done the parallel emerge's that have nothing in common. I was just wondering if it was a bad thing.
