I'm getting the following errors when I run /usr/portage/scripts/bootstrap.sh.

Usr is on a separate partition, but is mounted OK. I'm running an Alpha LX164 if that matters (so I'm starting with the rc1_alpha tarball). I never got this error when I just created a chroot from an existing linux install, but this is fresh empty disk. /var/tmp does exist. Any ideas?

Ted
