Hi,

thanks everybody for the info. Now I was able to solve my problem. No more
KDE switching applet - and yes, X's own switching is extremely fast.

There was only a minor problem I had to resolv: after I set layouts to
"en,hu,ru_yawerty", there was no layouts anymore in X. I found that the
problem is that there is no "hu" layout defined in
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/symbols/pc, and because I've set XkbModel to pc105,
it tried to load hu layout from symbols/pc, not from symbols (where hu can
be found). So, after this error, layout loading terminated, there was no
other layouts loaded (only the first one, en).
Copying symbols/hu to symbols/pc/hu resolved the problem.

Now it is a little bit funny that I have 3 layouts, but I can't see which
one is used, because Scroll Lock can show only that I use not the first
layout (it lights up at hu and ru, too).

So, there remained only one question: does someone know a good KDE panel
applet which shows the actual layout? It is more comfortable than LEDs...:)

Thanks!!!

Sipi
