ACCEPT_KEYWORD in the docs - it's used for these
situations.

Hi to all gentoo users,
Recently i try to install Gentoo 1.4_rc3 to my PC.
I have some questions about the packages that i can
build.
1) After a "emerge rsync" i try to install the Xfree
package. Download the
4.2.1-r2 and install it ok. But i notice in directory
"/usr/portage/x11-base/xfree" there are more recent
versions for the Xfree
(4.3.0-r1). I try to update with "emerge -uvp --deep
xfree" but no updates
are available. I try the command "emerge -vp --deep
xfree" and the output
was:
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild R ] x11-base/xfree-4.2.1-r2 -sse +nls +mmx
+truetype +3dnow -3dfx
This is only an example. The same problem exist and to
most other packages eg
gcc,kde...etc.
How can i solve it?
2) When i update a package, in the
"/usr/portage/distfiles" directory i have
the old version of the file and the new one. Is there any
way to keep only
the new one and delete the old one?
eg: the package readline. I update to version 4.3 and in
distfiles i have:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 919625 Feb 23 08:13
readline-4.2a.tar.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 961662 Mar 16 15:44
readline-4.3.tar.gz
