Dear all,
I'm trying to update my systems in the normal way using emerge -u system.
But when the system tries to install libperl the computer hangs after the following
step:
Good, your tr supports [:lower:] and [:upper:] to convert case.
Using [:upper:] and [:lower:] to convert case.
I can only push the reset button.
I tried many times to emerge rsync, emerge portage, emerge -u everything except
perl, without result. I'm unable to upgrade perl.
The systems are Athlon-XP 2.4GHz, 512MB RAM, Gentoo 1.4_rc2, gcc-3.2.2 and
glibc-2.3.1-r4.
Some suggestions?
