I would like to ask one thing tho.

You have part1 as /boot and part2 as root.

But i have hda1 as /boot and part1 as root.

Where do you install grub?
is it hda's mbr?
or disc0's mbr?

if it is disc0 then how to you choose that disc?
did you choose in your BIOS to boot that disc first?
