Ok, I cannot admit that noone mentinned the single best Linux browser : galeon ;-)
If not the best, it's the one I use. Works fine with flash, java, and can link "mailto:"; to evolution, mutt (or whatever runs in a terminal)... Give it a try ! And don't forget about crossover plugin, it's inexpensive (compared to a full windows) and works like a charm on gentoo. It's not GPL, I know, but still better than using windows.
