Been thinking about this kinda thing for a while now... Gentoo is a very cool distro, it stays uptodate, gives great perfomance, is higly configurable, and emerge is truly cool (apt tools from debian are worth mentioning too). And how much have I paid for this distro ? well, I have paid a grand total of $0 We don't actually collectivly need to pay much to make a difference to this fine product, and I see no reason why Daniel Robbins should not reap something for all he and the devs do. Anyway, here is some simple math: eg. 1000 users and we all paid 15 Euro a year or month. $ bc -q 15*1000 15000 Even 15 dollars of any currency, even $5, it doesn't really matter, every bit counts the more the better. Also on one final note, I think Daniel and crowed have a great attitude, and I shall help where I am able. I shall rant no longer. Have a good day -- ooM -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
