I'm running Gentoo 1.4rc4 and KDE 3.1.2. In Control Panel->Desktop->Behavior theres an option for Dispaying devices on desktop which I have checked off. I'm using SCSI emulation. I have a DVD drive and a CDRW Drive, I have both CD Writer and CD-ROM mounted/unmounted checked off but the only thing that appears on my desktop is the CD-ROM entry(which is actually the CDRW drive). I've edited /etc/fstab, /etc/devfsd, and different ways of mounting the drives but I still can't get the CD Writer Icon to appear on the desktop, what is KDE looking at when it puts those icons on the Desktop?

Thanks,
Kent Jantz
