It seems a shame that nvidia just acknoledge the problem, as opposed to supplying a kernel framebuffer that gets along with their driver, or include framebuffer support with their driver. Don't get me wrong although the nvidia drivers taint the kernel i really appreciate the work they do in supporting even their newest GPU's under linux and BSD (I have a FX 5900 and it works just fine), but this is a problem that is v. annoying, as well as one that has been hanging around for ages. Maybe a concerted effort by all effected may convince nvidia to have a go at fixing this ?? Just my 2 pence worth :) Rich On Sunday 10 Aug 2003 11:36 pm, Yorkshire Dave wrote: > it's a known problem, just seems that a some don't experience it.
