i talked about pixmaps :) sry if i didnt say this properly :-)
but, i think its gaim or gtk itself, since gaim is the one which has _always_ had a
problem with slowing down after a while and then swapping too much when exiting.

mh, then it shouldnt be the theme. i used cleanice a long time before i changed to
geramik. atm i'm using gnome, before this it was fluxbox... and for fluxbox i looked
for a nice clean gtk theme, which resulted in using cleanice :)
but also with flux it was the same... although it wasnt that bad like its now. but i
think, the fact that its worse than before, is simply related on the dimensions of
gnome compared to a simple wm. so that (gnome) shouldnt be the problem, but a point
that makes it even worse ;)

uhm... k, i think i wont use them *g*

well, i dont know if it gets much better. i'll try it tonight (its already 11:30pm
here).
but as i said, when i shut down my whole x session and start a new one, the memory
gets flushed.
i always thought it was a simple x prob... thought that x wouldnt flush its cache at
all. but this cant be i think, since x is an elementary app/server and this problem
would be a real big one to the whole community.

btw: is there a command or something to tell x it should flush its cache... or
something to view details about what module or something like that fills the cache?
