The current canon drivers seem broken. There is a bug filed against
gimp-print as #25747.

Seems gentoo is using the development gimp-print which is badly broken
in 4.3.18 and 4.3.19. The stable is 4.2.5 which is in portage - went to
that and I can print again.

Can any other canon users who have been hit by this add to the bug so
A. show that a number of people are being affected by this, and
B. portage gets put back to a working gimp-print
