hi this is strange. i just did the exact same install process, same fstab etc. - but this time on a new world blue and white ibook.
/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 shows up and is mountable.
it must be the drive on the black powerbook. but i was able to use the cdrom drive on
the black powerbook to install with the livecd!
