Hi,

I am pursuing a dual-sound card setup onmy linux box in hopes of turning
it into a daytime dj practice station. I initallly had an SB Live running
with ALSA. Then I threw in a card based on this ES1370 to act as my
second source. I re-compiled alsa now with support for my EMU10k1 and the
Ensoniq, and made changes to the /etc/modules.d/alsa such as 2nd dsp and
mixer devices. But when I come to trying a modprobe snd-ens1371 I get the
error below
[EMAIL PROTECTED] modules.d # modprobe snd-ens1371
/lib/modules/2.4.20-gentoo-r5/kernel/sound/pci/snd-ens1371.o: init_module:
No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters,
including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.20-gentoo-r5/kernel/sound/pci/snd-ens1371.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.20-gentoo-r5/kernel/sound/pci/snd-ens1371.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.20-gentoo-r5/kernel/sound/pci/snd-ens1371.o: insmod
snd-ens1371 failed

Where am I going wrong....is there a world of difference between the 1371
and 1370...cos I don't remember seing nay other similar ensoniq drivers
in the library.

This is the output of my /proc/pci

[EMAIL PROTECTED] simon $ grep audio
/proc/pci
Multimedia audio controller: Ensoniq ES1370 [AudioPCI] (rev 0).
Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Live! EMU10k1 (rev 8).

Any help?

Best

Simon
