Yes. The HD is connected to raid-adapter.

I don't know exactly, but if you want to load a kernel with grub, you have to give hin the right command:


grub> kernel /boot/kernel-2.4.20-gentoo-r7
I think you have to perform a the command root before you load the kernel
And then you can try boot
but i'm not sure


Whether you meant on Code listing 23.1
# emerge -k grub
# grub

I have to type
grub> kernel /boot/kernel-2.4.20-gentoo-r7
