well, i started a thread in this ml a week or so ago, which was part of this problem.
but i think the problem is vmware at all.

when i start vmware (root works, normal user not!? O_o), it boots the system and after
a short time it freezes, so i cant really use it.
in this case it is a win2kserver setup that crashes/freezes the vm. i think it was
while copying the installation files, so nothing really dramatic...
but it also freezes when i enter the bios setup, so that w2k shouldnt be the problem.
anyone who can gimme a tip on how to get this thing working? :-/

        arne

ps: there are no error msgs or something like that :-/ i really dont know what it is.
if i kill vmware (since its freezed) i cant start it again, because there are always 2
processes referring to the vmmon module. (yes, i killed all vm*-processes manually and
so on).

:-(
