[gentoo-user] How do I get gcc-config to do anything?

I've just emerged gcc-config. I can't get beyond this:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] todos $ gcc-config --list-profiles
 * /usr/bin/gcc-config: No default profile setup!
How do I set a profile? How do I find out what my current
profile is supposed to be?
(A cc: on reply would be kind.)
