Hi list, First of all, let me thank you for a great distribution that appears to run atleast at twice the speed of RH 9.1
I struggled to get cd-writing working. I gave up on using the ide-scsi driver, browsed some old posts and arrived at this monster command: 1)CD-WRITING # nice --19 mkisofs -J -R downloads/sdk_libs/ | cdrecord -v driveropts=burnfree dev=ATAPI:0,0,0 fs=6m speed=24 - This wrote the CD sucessfully, but unfortunately the CD is not getting mounted (others do). I'll try the command again with a different blank cd and hope it works. I just wanted to enquire whether there one can get nautilus's cd-writing facilty to do this. My drive doesn't get detected using nautilus and I can only create an image. 2)I couldn't figure out the ebuild package name for SpamAssasin. I googled but couldn't come up with it either. 3)Right-clicking on the date-time panel in Gnome and clicking "Adjust.." throws the error message: "Failed to locate a program for configuring date and time" All help/pointers appreciated! I guess I am going to have a lot of questions as the days go by. Thanks, Tarun -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
