did you run "sensors -s" between config file changes?

I have seen some boards where the bus locked when playing with strange
configurations too much.  Result was an unchanging temp and/or fan
readings.

My athlon t-bird locks hard at ~60c, but generally runs at 40-55c
depending on ambient/load.
