and yes, this was ripped from a original cd, using grip, which i used
cdparanoia within.
Pardon me, then. I guess this was just one of those special cases. (A
lot of PCM silence would presumably compress well with bzip2, or any
other general purpose lossless compression algorithm, for that matter).
