One of the bugzilla reports said to rm .sversionrc, which did the trick.
I had changed my CFLAGS to:

-fomit-frame-pointer"
It now opens very fast, less then 3 secs, before it was loading in
around 9 secs. I am very impressed.
Wow! That's impressive! Does anyone know the optimal flags for a 2.7 GHz
